The Academic Historical Museum

Students and instructors have come together at the first Dutch university since 1575. The "Gewelfkamer" of the Academy Building contains togas, berets, anniversary souvenirs and many other objects that serve as silent witnesses of the art of living and of science. This splendid room provides an impressive image of the history of the University of Leiden. The museum displays objects, photos and documentation about the University’s history and about the student life.
